Dr. James Meany, a native of Waterloo, Iowa, received his Doctorate in Optometry (OD) in 1985 and his B.S. in Optics in 1983 from the University of Houston. The Texas Optometric Board endorsed him as a Therapeutic Optometrist in 1997 and as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist in 2000.
Dr. Meany specializes in comprehensive eye care, including pre- and post-operative cataracts and refractive surgeries, therapeutic treatment of ocular diseases, and manages refractive, functional, pathological, and contact lens-related problems.
Dr. Meany is a U.S. Army veteran and lives with his wife in Harker Heights, Texas. They have one son who resides and works in the San Marcos, TX area.
